Our Story
Rock Raises for Cancer was founded in 2023 by a small group of local residents whose lives had been affected by cancer, either through their own diagnosis or by supporting family and friends. United by a shared determination to make a difference, we set out with one simple goal: to raise funds for cancer charities and organisations providing vital support to patients and their families across the South West.
Our first fundraising event was an online charity auction followed by a gala evening at The Point, Polzeath. It raised more than £30,000 for our three chosen cancer charities, exceeding all expectations and demonstrating the incredible generosity of our community.
Since then, Rock Raises for Cancer has continued to grow. Following equivalently successful fundraising events in 2025, we, again, raised over £30,000. In 2026, we are excited to bring something new to our community with a two-day Artisan Christmas Market, being opened by Michelin-starred chef Paul Ainsworth.
Every event we organise is made possible by the kindness of our supporters, sponsors, volunteers and local businesses. Together, we're helping to make a real difference to individuals and families affected by cancer, while strengthening the community that brings us all together.

Join Our Mission
Be part of the Rock Raises for Cancer community. We invite both individuals and local businesses to volunteer time, talent or resources. We are grateful to all those individual who have already generously given of their time and all those businesses who have already sponsored our fundraising activities, enabling us to raise much needed funds for local cancer charities.
Volunteer to support our Christmas Market. We would love to hear from people willing to help us set up and decorate the Hub, serve refreshments, offer first aid support or provide entertainment for shoppers.
